Padagata is an online resource for the skimboarding community in the Philippines. Its goal is to support and empower local skimboarders throughout the country.
The evolution of the site has always been inspiring and generous. Although it has started as a skim forecast site, it has always dreamed that one day skimboarding will be as big as any sport. As skimboarding grows popular by the day, it also evolves from forecasting skim conducive weather; to broadcasting skim events; to featuring people, places and more happenings; and finally, to supporting and empowering the local skimboarding communities.
Its creation dates back in habagat season 2007, but unofficially in 2003.
Padagata draws its existence from a group of locals who has been generous to their fellow skimboarders. Those locals have always been an inspiration. The love and respect they share for the skimboarding and for each other are the pillars of Padagata. It has been the pure intentions they have shown and shared that make everything possible.
Padagata is not a club or an organization. It is not a team. It requires no membership or registration. Yes, it is a website but most of all it is a cause and inspiration. It is the reality of skim love. It is something being shared. It is paying it forward.
Being a part of Padagata only requires one thing and one thing only – SHARE THE SKIM LOVE.
